M.D. Corbit, LLC

Margaret Corbit entered the world of computing as the science writer at the NSF-funded Cornell Theory Center (CTC), Cornell University's national supercomputing facility. At CTC she had the opportunity to be among the first journalists to use the World Wide Web for science communication. Her work combined educating and communcating about high performance computing with creative activities in new media. The SciCentr outreach program she founded at CTC survived the Center's reorganization and served as a University project until it migrated to GST BOCES in 2009 and morphed into EDUni-NY, an exciting resource for educators around the state. Corbit continues to collaborate with GST BOCES and to consult on projects that promise to open new opportunities for teachers and students.
